The state of Colorado offers a wide variety of state, county and local programs designed to help residents purchase a home. Counselling and consumer education courses are offered, and sometimes required, to be eligible for housing assistance grants for closing costs or down payment assistance. The Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) is a state agency that offers assistance in purchasing a home. CHFA offers educational programs for first-time and non-first-time home buyers. State-wide Assistance and Grants
There are two organizations that offer programs and aid for home buyers across the state. They include the Colorado Housing Enterprise (CHE) and the Colorado Housing Assistance Corporation (CHAC).
